with rS.Heaven on the rS clan and StarCraft
Introduction by o]O2[o:
rS.Heaven is the manager of the rS BW squad,
one of the best foreign Brood War clans. He
is quite an influence in the BW community,
and so I sat down with him to talk about GosuReplays,
rS, and his plans for rS. Enjoy.

Ryan Baker 23, I help manage rS BW Team along
with my sexy partner Wisdom. I didnt see live
8 but I wanted to. Damn work. >< Also I'm a

:] Before we get into the meat of the interview,
care to tell us what your level of education
is, and if you're attending college/university?
If so, what are you studying there?
rS.Heaven:
Well, I graduated from Auburn Drive High and
I've just been too lazy to do a post secondary
education right now.

Hehe :D Alright, so, GosuReplays recently merged
with GosuGamers. For those that are unaware,
GR was a great site that hosted many great
VODs, replays, RWAs, and other such BW files.
We haven't seen GR in a while, though. Is the
shared bandwith already being put to use by
GG.net?
rS.Heaven:
Hehe, what a coincidence. Over the last week
or so Jonathon (Mazor) and I have been working
on moving all the reps/files from gg.net to
the gosureplays server, and soon we will be
adding vods for our lovely fans.

Are you going to have any sort of admin position
over at GG.net? File administrator, perhaps?
rS.Heaven:
I will be files Admin, which will entail VODs/Movies/Programs
and anything the GG community wants. We will
be posting news about where people can apply
for the new section soon.

I'm sure a lot of people will be very happy
to hear that.
If you can tell us, just to give people out
there an estimate, how much are you/were you
spending on GR.com monthly?
rS.Heaven:
Hmm. Sorry I can't.. it's my little secret,
but I will let you know that if I could have

Yeah, I imagine it must be quite a sum... I
hope people appreciate how much work, time
and money it is... ;) Moving on; you, along
with wisdom, are managers for the rS.bw team,
correct?
rS.Heaven:
Yes. I'm also a forum admin for them. Wis does
all the work for the BW team though. And I

Hehehe, yeah, that sounds like my position
at PGT. Hi Gpais! Anyways, care to indulge
us on what your role entails?
rS.Heaven:
Well, my role is more of a title then anything.
Wis really does all the hard work on the bw
side of the team. He has assembled the allstar
team we have now. If it wasnt for him, who
knows, we would probably be div 4d now (Editor's
note: WGTCL).

Sounds I like I should be interviewing him
instead of you.
rS.Heaven:
Nah. I > Bryan

How so?
rS.Heaven:
First off, Bryan plays Terran.
We all know P>T.
And I play P.
Therefore I > him.

What is the hardest part of being a manager?
Unreliable players, organizing clanwars...
?
rS.Heaven:
Honestly everything in rS goes pretty smooth,
all our players are dedicated to winning and
they always give 100%, but the hardest thing
is... trying to make the community respect
us. That's why we played pG yesterday. rS was
once an amazing team, and in recent months
we have slipped a little, and now my goal was
to make us respected again, and I think a 5-2
win vs pG should help. pG is still no doubt
an amazing team, but yesterday, I think we
just wanted it more.

rS has a stellar lineup. Achilles, Crayon,
Blackjack, Day, Daze, Evade, Fayth, Jiang,
Loco, Mike, Sever, Tasteless, Testie, Trino,
Veg, Wisdom. What do you think your best lineup
is for a standard 5 x 1v1 1 x 2v2 format?
rS.Heaven:
Testie / Day / Veg / Fayth / BlackJack. Honestly,
I think after Testie / Day / Veg. anyone can
fill it up. 2v2 would be Testie/Veg.

Now, rS is one of the best teams out there.
However, you've got nearly a purely North American
squad. Will that change in the future?
rS.Heaven:
I think we will do whatever it takes to make
our team better, but having all members in
such a close area is always good, 'cause it
makes it easier for ppl to showup for matches.
teamareola.com:
That's an extremely valid point.
Now, you mentionned Yosh might/will be joining
rS?
rS.Heaven:
From what I am told he has joined, or so Troku
told me, which will just increase our skill
even more.
(Yosh, {SG}Yosh previously, is a really good
Terran player, who was somewhat known for his
wicked factory placement. Read an interview

You know little about this, though? Hopefully
we'll see him on the roster some time soon.
rS.Heaven:
At him prime he was top 5 Canada, easily.
teamareola.com:
So, any idea on when we'll be seeing Yosh?
rS.Heaven:
Hmm, hopefully sooner rather than later. He's
been busy on west, so once I give him the team
pass, you should see him.
teamareola.com:
Great :] I look forward to seeing him in action.
rS.Heaven:
You and me both.

A lot of people aren't aware of the use of
joining clans like rS, iD, etc. Do you finance
members at certain events? Do you have any
requirements from your memebrs?
rS.Heaven:
We don't pay players to a point. If some of
our members are playing in a lan, we will try
to help cover the cost of the entrance fee,
or in the case of Testie/Veg if they need help
to attend WCG events we will try our best to
help with some money. Keep in mind rS doesn't
have any sponsors that actually help pay, all
the money comes from rS' admin pockets; Killa/Glo/myself.
The only requirements we ask are; that you
are active/skilled and try to show up for matches.

What do you think about ToT recruiting so many
players? Do you think there are some valid
points against that?
rS.Heaven:
If you can build such a strong team and add
the best players, why not? The only thing is..they
better stay away from rS guys, or else I will
fly to germany and knock on Mondi's door. Hm,
though... it seems that ToT) players are unmotivated,
but that comes with being #1. There's not a
team outside Korea that can match ToT) ...
at the moment, anyway. Give us a few weeks

rS is a big clan that plays many games. It's
pretty big on cs, wc3, and fifa as far as I
know. Is BW the most important division, or
are we being overshadowed by some other game?
If so, who do I punch?
rS.Heaven:
rS is a multigaming team and the W3 team is
no doubt rS' pride and joy, but they've earned
that. Our W3 team was top 5 outside Korea.

And, you don't think the BW team is?
rS.Heaven:
It's so hard to say what teams are up there.
BW side always has so much player movement,
and teams don't always use their best players.

rS is currently in WGTCL division 1, correct?
rS.Heaven:
Correct. First place too, thx. We play MgZ
today.

rS.Heaven:

of winning this season are? Who do you think

We better win this season. The strongest
contenders are probably iD and LG). We've always
had trouble with LG).
